Saturday, November 26, 2016 is a date to remember. It marks the match-up between #3 Michigan and #2 Ohio State – a century-old rivalry called by many simply “The Game.” It will be held in Columbus, Ohio this year, broadcast at 12:00pm (EST) on ABC.
A Brief History of “The Game”
Michigan and Ohio State first met on October 16, 1897 (a Michigan win) and have met each and every year since 1918. “The Game” has been a regular-season finale since 1935 with few exceptions. It was called the greatest sports rivalry in history by the United States Congress. Even ESPN ranked the Michigan-Ohio State feud as the greatest North American sports rivalry – just ahead of Muhammad Ali vs. Joe Frazier!
